Ingredients

  • 1 round sour dough loaf
  • 2/3 cup melted butter
  • 3 tspn minced garlic
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 1/4 tspn pepper
  • 2 egg yolk

Instructions

  1. Slice the top of the sour dough loaf and cut out the center so it creates a bread bowl. Cut the top and the bread that was cut out into cubes.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and 2 tspn garlic. Brush the inside of the bread bowl with the garlic butter and soak the cubed bread with the remaining garlic butter.

  3. Combine the cream cheese, cheddar, mozzarella, milk, 1 tspn garlic, salt, and pepper and mix well. Pour into bread bowl.

  4. Whisk the egg yolk and brush onto top of cheese mixture. Bake the bread bowl for 30 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Bake the cubed buttered bread pieces for 15 minutes.

  5. When done, dip the croutons in the cheese mixture for maximum enjoyment.
