Crispy Chicken Parmesan
Baked, fried, and saucy as heck; that's how you do chicken parm.
- 2 chicken breasts sliced width-wise
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1/2 tspn pepper
- 1 tspn onion powder
- cooking oil
- 1 can marinara sauce
- 1 lb mozzarella cheese sliced
- grated parmesan
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs whisked
- 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
Spring the salt, pepper, and onion powder evenly on both sides of the sliced chicken breasts.
Prepare breading station and bread the chicken following these steps: 1. coat with flour 2. Dip in egg wash 3. Coat with bread crumbs
Fry the breaded chicken breasts on medium-high heat until both sides are golden brown and the chicken is cooked all the way through.
Place the fried chicken onto a baking dish and pour the marinara sauce over the chicken. Top with the mozzarella and parmesan cheese evenly over the chicken and marinara.
Bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes.
