Boozy Strawberries Will Get The Party Started

Boozy Strawberries

They are just as lovely to look at as they are tasty to eat!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 2 cups alcohol such as vodka, bourbon, champagne
  • 3.5 oz dark chocolate finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Rinse the strawberries (as you always should), pat 'em dry, and place them in a 16-ounce mason jar or large bowl.

  2. Fill the container with your booze of choice, making sure the berries are completely submerged. Place the lid on the jar, and close it tightly. If you're using a container without a lid, cover it with plastic wrap. Leave the filled container in the fridge for at least 12 hours, though it's good to leave overnight.

  3. Drain the strawberries over a large bowl. Place the strawberries on paper towels to absorb any excess moisture, let 'em sit for 5 minutes, and pat 'em dry.

Recipe Notes

Incidentally, if you did this recipe with vodka or bourbon, you can use what you soaked the strawberries in as a flavored alcohol for cocktails. Make sure to use it within two days (Champagne and port unfortunately can't really be reused here, unless you happen to know some secret trick I don't).
