Boozy Strawberries
They are just as lovely to look at as they are tasty to eat!
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries
- 2 cups alcohol such as vodka, bourbon, champagne
- 3.5 oz dark chocolate finely chopped
Instructions
-
Rinse the strawberries (as you always should), pat 'em dry, and place them in a 16-ounce mason jar or large bowl.
-
Fill the container with your booze of choice, making sure the berries are completely submerged. Place the lid on the jar, and close it tightly. If you're using a container without a lid, cover it with plastic wrap. Leave the filled container in the fridge for at least 12 hours, though it's good to leave overnight.
-
Drain the strawberries over a large bowl. Place the strawberries on paper towels to absorb any excess moisture, let 'em sit for 5 minutes, and pat 'em dry.
Recipe Notes
Incidentally, if you did this recipe with vodka or bourbon, you can use what you soaked the strawberries in as a flavored alcohol for cocktails. Make sure to use it within two days (Champagne and port unfortunately can't really be reused here, unless you happen to know some secret trick I don't).
