Taking a page out of Pantone and Le Creuset’s cookbook, KitchenAid has announced their first ever “color of the year” for its 2018 product lineup. Let’s not forget that Pantone’s color of the year was “Ultra Violet” and Le Creuset took a spin on this with a lavender lineup immediately following the announcement. KitchenAid is following in a similar stroke, but purple was not their chosen palette for 2018.

Called “Bird In Paradise,” this pastel pink shine evokes all of the sunset vibes of tropical islands and marvelous mimosas. All of the inspiration comes from Caribbean destinations, and the cookware company certainly nailed the vibe of it, too.

You can snag yours on the company website, Kitchenaid.com, where they call the color an inspiration for people to be “free” and “exotic.” The options of appliances you can get in Bird of Paradise color include a full size blender and two different sized mixers. While it may just be the start of a trend, it is sure to brighten up any contemporary kitchen, so snag yours before they sell out!
