Caramelized Banana Split

Get your spoons ready because this easy dessert is better than Christmas!

  • 1 ripe banana halved lengthwise
  • 1 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tbsp hot fudge topping
  • 1 tbsp caramel topping
  • 1/4 cup whipped cream
  • 1 tbsp chopped toasted walnuts


  1. Preheat oven to broil with oven rack in the upper third of the oven. Place banana, cut side up, on a small rimmed baking sheet covered with aluminum foil. Sprinkle banana evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon. Broil until sugar mixture is melted and bubbly, 2 to 3 minutes.

  2. Place caramelized banana in a serving dish. Top with ice cream, and drizzle with hot fudge and caramel. Top with whipped cream, and sprinkle with walnuts.
