A delicious homemade Italian ice cream with orange cognac.
- 1 1/2 cups confectioner's sugar
- 2 1/2 cups mascarpone substitute with cream cheese
- 6 egg yolks
- 300 ml single cream
- 2 orange zest
- 75 ml orange cognac
- 20 ml vanilla extract
- 4 oranges
In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, mascarpone, egg yolks, cream, zest of 2 oranges, cognac, and the vanilla extract. Mix well.
Slice the oranges in half and juice using a cone juicer or scoop the flesh out leaving the peel intact. Pour the mascarpone cream into the orange peels to the edge and freeze for one or more hours.
