Ice cream cones are the ultimate summer treat, and undoubtedly one of the best methods of eating ice cream-you get to eat the container it came in, with the melted ice cream serving as the perfect “sauce.” What could be better? An ice cream “bowl” made of a cookie! This video shows you how to make the perfect cookie container for the next time you eat your ice cream.
What’s more, you get to re-use a kitchen appliance you may not use as often- the muffin tin. Muffin tins are utilized to baking muffins, but limited to only that alone. The rest of the time, they are relegated to the corner of your kitchen cabinet, since they don’t serve any purpose beyond this. Bring your muffin tin back to the front of your kitchen with this cookie bowl recipe-using the other side! The shape of the muffin tin serves as a great mold for your cookie bowls for the
perfect amount of ice cream in your bowl.
You make the cookie dough the same way you would for any cookie dough- with flour, cream of tartar, baking powder, salt, butter, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, and vanilla. Once you’ve made the dough, the trick is to roll it out and cut circles out of the dough. Once you’ve made your circles/cookies, form them around the back of your greased muffin tin to give them their shape. Bake them in your preheated oven at 350 degrees for 12 minutes, then enjoy with your
favorite scoop of ice cream!
