Cheeseburger Stuffed Peppers
Everyone needs a delicious stuffed peppers recipe in their go-to recipe collection! This is a perfect dish for the home cook because it's economical, healthy, and scrumptious!
Ingredients
For the peppers
- 3 bell peppers halved top to bottom
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 small onion finely chopped
- 1 large egg
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- salt
- black pepper freshly ground
- 6 slices yellow cheddar
For special sauce
- 1/3 cup mayonaise
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp apple cidar vinegar
- pickle dip for garnish
- toasted sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°. In a large bowl, stir to combine beef, onion, egg, Worcestershire, mustard, and ketchup. Season with salt and pepper.

2. Remove seeds and veins from bell peppers and fill with meat mixture. Place in a shallow baking dish. Add 1/4 cup water to baking dish. (This will help steam the peppers.) Top each pepper with a slice of cheese and bake until peppers are tender and meat is cooked through, 30 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, make the special sauce: in a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, vinegar, and paprika.

4. When peppers are cooked, drizzle with special sauce and garnish with pickles and sesame seeds
