Ingredients

Sauce

  • 3 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tspn rice wine vinegar
  • 3 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 4 tbsp honey
  • 30 ml bourbon whiskey
  • 15 ml lime juice
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tspn smoked paprika
  • 4 tbsp dark muscovado sugar
  • 1 tspn red chili flakes
  • 2 tspn corn flour
  • 1 tspn sesame seeds
  • 1 whole rack of pork ribs

Rub

  • 1 tbsp kosher salt
  • 1 tbsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp dark muscovado sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300℉.

  2. Combine the salt, pepper and sugar and rub liberally over the ribs.

  3. Wrap the ribs in foil and bake in the oven for 2 hours.

  4. In a saucepan, combine the sauce ingredients and cook over medium-high heat. Once it starts to simmer, reduce heat until the sauce thickens. Set aside.

  5. Remove ribs from the oven and unwrap from foil. Brush generous amounts of the sauce on both sides of the ribs. Place back in the oven and bake for 10 minutes.

  6. Remove from oven, brush more sauce on and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Serve and enjoy!
