It’s no secret that we love coffee. 83 percent of Americans drink coffee, with 64 percent of the world having drunk at least a cup in the past 24 hours. This is a ridiculous amount, but very understandable once you realize how delicious and addicting coffee is, especially in the morning when it helps to jolt you awake in the morning. While we may sometimes feel guilty about how dependent on coffee we may be, these benefits of coffee might help you feel better about your next mug(or two).
Coffee surprisingly contains antioxidants, and is one of the top contributors of antioxidants for people in the Western world. Coffee contains vitamins such as Potassium, Niacin, and Magnesium – all of which are necessary for your body to perform at its best!
In addition, coffee helps your body burn more calories than usual, especially when it isn’t drunk with any cream or sugar. Coffee is also proven to improve your memory and vigilance, so the next time you have an important meeting or test, you should definitely drink up!
If you’re getting ready for a big sports game or race you’re participating in, make sure to drink a mug of coffee before you head out, coffee is also proven to improve physical performance and mood!
