  • 5 hot dogs
  • 4 potatoes peeled
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 cup Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tspn oregano
  • oil for frying

  1. Cut the tips of the hot dogs off and then cut the hot dogs into four even pieces.

  2. Put potatoes in a pot and pour water until it covers the potatoes completely. Add 1 tbsp salt, stir and bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are done. Drain and pat dry.

  3. Using a grater, grate the potatoes into a bowl.

  4. Add the Parmesan, flour, and oregano to the potatoes and mix.

  5. Wrap a hot dog piece with the potato mix and shape it into a tater tot. Place the hot dog tots on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.

  6. Fry the tater tots at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or medium-high heat until they are golden brown.
