Hot Dog Tots
Combining the entree and the side dish into one delicious, crispy tot.
- 5 hot dogs
- 4 potatoes peeled
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 cup Parmesan
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tspn oregano
- oil for frying
Cut the tips of the hot dogs off and then cut the hot dogs into four even pieces.
Put potatoes in a pot and pour water until it covers the potatoes completely. Add 1 tbsp salt, stir and bring to a boil and cook until potatoes are done. Drain and pat dry.
Using a grater, grate the potatoes into a bowl.
Add the Parmesan, flour, and oregano to the potatoes and mix.
Wrap a hot dog piece with the potato mix and shape it into a tater tot. Place the hot dog tots on a baking sheet and freeze for 30 minutes.
Fry the tater tots at 350 degrees Fahrenheit or medium-high heat until they are golden brown.
