How to Make Roasted Garlic in Olive Oil

February 26, 2014

Roasting garlic in olive oil completely transforms it from sharply pungent to a nutty, sweet paste that can be used to boost the flavor of everything from baguettes to butter to potatoes to pesto. Watch the video to discover how simple this technique is.

First take 4 large whole heads of garlic, and removed the excess paper but not all of it. Then cut off the tip to expose the garlic bulbs.

Then place over aluminum foil and drizzle over the olive oil, salt and paper. Then fold the garlic like a Hershey kiss and put it into a ramekin or muffin tin.

Next Place in the toaster oven at 400 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until the bulbs are golden brown and tender.

Finally once the garlic is done, remove them and let cool for five minutes. Then unwrap the garlic and enjoy.
