Seriously Addictive Mozz Sticks

Crispy Mozzarella Sticks

Guaranteed to be crunchier than your favorite.

  • 6 cups vegetable oil
  • 1 pound mozzarella
  • 2 cups panko
  • ¾ cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
  • teaspoons garlic powder
  • teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Kosher salt
  • Spicy Marinara Sauce


  1. Slice mozzarella into 1/2 inch slices then cut those slices into sticks.
  2. Crack eggs into a bowl and beat until smooth.
  3. Pour 1/2 cup flour onto a plate.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix panko with all the herbs and seasonings.
  5. To bread: evenly coat a stick with flour, then with egg wash, then the panko. Then do it again. This double coating will ensure a super crispy mozz stick.
  6. Freeze for 1 hour.
  7. Heat oil in a large pot until shimmering.
  8. Fry mozz sticks 3 at a time for 2 minutes or until golden.
  9. Serve with marinara and enjoy! 😀
