Crispy Mozzarella Sticks
Guaranteed to be crunchier than your favorite.
Ingredients
- 6 cups vegetable oil
- 1 pound mozzarella
- 2 cups panko
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 3 large eggs
- 3 tablespoons whole milk
- 1½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1½ teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Kosher salt
- Spicy Marinara Sauce
Instructions

Slice mozzarella into 1/2 inch slices then cut those slices into sticks.

Crack eggs into a bowl and beat until smooth.

Pour 1/2 cup flour onto a plate.

In a shallow dish, mix panko with all the herbs and seasonings.

To bread: evenly coat a stick with flour, then with egg wash, then the panko. Then do it again. This double coating will ensure a super crispy mozz stick.

Freeze for 1 hour.

Heat oil in a large pot until shimmering.

Fry mozz sticks 3 at a time for 2 minutes or until golden.
