Slow Cooker Bolognese Sauce With Pasta

Slow Cooker Bolognese Sauce With Pasta

Bolognese sauce is delicious, rich and filling. It’s known to be delicious since the late 18th century, and hasn’t lost any of its popularity since then. The juices of the ground beef are mixed with the various spices and flavorful, tart tomatoes to create a great flavor that anyone can enjoy, especially over a bowl of pasta!

This recipe uses the pasta known as pappardelle, slightly different from the traditional tagliatelle used in a typical bolognese. This doesn’t diminish the flavor or quality of this recipe though! Pappardelle got its name from the Italian verb pappare, which means “to gobble up”- and with good reason!

This pasta is delicious and thick, making it the perfect thing to gobble up with the delicious sauce you’ve made. Because this recipe uses a slow cooker, it allows all of the flavors to incorporate that much better while ensuring that it doesn’t lose any of its moisture.

This is perfect, especially if you want to come home to a fully cooked meal ready for you to eat after a long day. Using a slow cooker also brings this recipe that much closer to the original recipe for bolognese sauce, since a traditional bolognese requires several hours of simmering to get all of the delicious flavors!
