Tart Up Your Cookie Dough

Tart Up Your Cookie Dough

We all love cookies. But what do we love more? Eating the cookie dough off of the spoon and bowl as we make it, of course! While most cookie dough is unsafe to eat due to the nature of the raw ingredients within (although that doesn’t stop anybody), this recipe for a cookie dough tart features perfectly safe cookie dough that can be eaten without being baked into a cookie!

The crust of this tart is made with crushed chocolate sandwich cookies, but that’s about the only cookie that you’ll find in this recipe at all. The base of the the cookie dough filling in the tart is made wit sugar, butter, and chocolate chips, which are all safe to eat.

One of the key items that needs to be substituted, however, is flour. Regular, raw, flour contains bacteria that can cause disease and is unsafe to eat unless it is fully cooked to kill the germs. In order to make your flour safe to eat in this unbaked cookie dough treat, you’re going to need baked flour!

Baked flour is flour that has already been baked, and is easily made at home to use any time you don’t want to eat raw flour. Use it to make your favorite tart ever!
