Watermelon is incredibly hydrating and filling, as 92 percent of the edible part of a watermelon is actually water! Only six percent of the portion we eat is sugar, making it incredibly low in calories while filling you up and ensuring you don’t dehydrate on those summer days.
Watermelon contains lycopene, which may help to lower high cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as the damages that come with having either. Other notable carriers of lycopene include tomatoes, which go great with watermelon in a salad!
