Brownie and Chocolate Chip Cookies

1/2 brownie, 1/2 chocolate chip cookie. The best of both worlds.

Ingredients

Chocolate Chip Batter

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tspn baking soda
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 10 tbsp softened butter
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips

Brownie Batter

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tspn baking soda
  • 1/4 tspn salt
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 10 tbsp softened butter
  • 2/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2/3 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tspn vanilla extract

Instructions

Chocolate Chip Batter

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt.

  2. In another mixing bowl, combine the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar and mix well. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.

  3. Add in the dry ingredients to the egg mixture and continue to mix.

Brownie Batter

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder.

  2. In a separate bowl, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Add in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla extract and mix. Combine with the dry mix.

Cookie construction

  1. Roll the chocolate chip batter and brownie batter into balls about 1 tbsp each. Then combine a brownie ball and a chocolate chip ball into one cookie shape so one half is a brownie and the other chocolate chip.

  2. Place the cookie dough on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
