Sausage-Hash Brown Breakfast Casserole
A power-packed casserole to start the day off on the right foot.
- 1 lb mild ground pork sausage
- 1 lb hot ground pork sausage
- 1 pkg frozen hash browns
- 1 1/2 tsp salt divided
- 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 6 large eggs
- 2 cups milk
Cook the sausages in a big skillet over medium-high heat until they lose their pink while stirring it to crumble. Drain well.
Follow the package directions to prepare the hash browns, while also adding 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper.
Stir together the hash browns, sausage, and cheese. Pour the resulting mixture into a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
Whisk together eggs, milk, and the remaining teaspoon of salt. Pour that evenly over the potato mixture.
Bake that thing at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes.
