Any time I get ice cream in a cone, it's expressly because I want to eat the cone. However, a bowl is, arguably, a little easier and safer to eat out of. Clearly, this is a job for science! Food science!
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper, then inflate 4 small balloons to desired size. This is relevant, I swear.
Pour the white chocolate chips into a large microwave-safe bowl and add 4 to 5 drops of orange food coloring. Heat in microwave until the chocolate is melted and smooth. Do it in 30-second intervals just so things don't get too melty. You should have a bowl of smooth, orange chocolate.
Working one at a time, dip the bottom of each balloon into the chocolate, rolling it around to make sure all sides are evenly coated. Transfer to parchment paper lined baking sheet to solidify for at least 1 hour. Keep doing that with your other balloons to make 3 more bowls.
Once the bowls are set, pipe jack-o-lantern faces onto them with the melted chocolate. Careful, now, don't want them to warp. Let set another 5 minutes.
When the bowls are ready, pop the balloons. They should slide right out. Scoop ice cream inside and serve immediately. I know it's tempting to eat it first, but remember to save the bowl for the end!
