Tequila Caramel Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 16 cups of popped popcorn
  • 1 cup salted roasted peanuts
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 2 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 3 tablespoon agave nectar
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon tequila
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250 degrees.
  2. Mix brown sugar, agave, butter, corn syrup, and salt together in a pan.
  3. Bring to boil and let bubble for 4 minutes.
  4. Pour in the tequila and baking soda, stirring while things bubble up and settle.
  5. Drizzle the entire mixture over a large bowl of peanut and popcorn.
  6. Toss to evenly combine.
  7. Spread glazed popcorn on a baking sheet and bake for 1 hour.
  8. Let cool and serve.
