Teriyaki Salmon

With a homemade sauce to die for.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless salmon fillets, 6 oz. skin-on
  • ½ cup sake
  • ¼ cup mirin sweet Japanese rice wine
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Kosher salt

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Whisk sake, mirin, and soy sauce together in a bowl.
  3. Season the salmon with salt. Place the fish skin side down in the pan and sear for 5 minutes. Flip and cook for 2 more minutes. Remove from pan.
  4. Pour teriyaki into the pan and cook for 4 minutes or until reduced.
  5. Add salmon back to the pan and let infuse for a few minutes, spooning the sauce over.
  6. Serve and enjoy! :D
