Red Wine Spaghetti

Enjoy this pasta with a hint of red wine and parmesan.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 3 cups red wine
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tspn red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 cup parmesan
  • 1/4 cup parsley

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the water and red wine, cover, and bring to a boil.

  2. Add in the spaghetti and cook until al dente and drain. Reserve 1/4 cup of the red wine and water mix.

  3. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a skillet, add the garlic, red pepper flakes and saute until garlic is almost tender. Add the reserved red wine and water from before and bring to a simmer. Add another 1/4 cup red wine and bring to a simmer.

  4. Add the spaghetti and butter and stir until butter is melted. Salt and pepper to taste.

  5. Top with parmesan and parsley. Stir and serve.
