Buttermilk Biscuits
You better believe its everything you want in a biscuit.
Ingredients
- 2 cups self rising flour
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
Instructions

Preheat oven to 500 degrees.

Pour flour into a bowl.

Using your fingers or a fork, add shortening and mix thoroughly until a crumbly texture.

Drizzle in buttermilk, mixing until just barely coming together.

Form into a ball and knead for 1 minute until a dough is formed.

Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut out biscuits with a round cookie cutter or using a glass.

Place biscuits on a baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
