Don’t Be A Fighter, Have A Fajita!

We all love a good fajita. If you’ve never had one, you’ll be lucky enough to experience it for the first time! A fajita is essentially a marinated strip of meat- usually beef or chicken – that’s been grilled or broiled to delicious perfection with vegetables.

It’s served with flour tortillas on the side, which is perfect for keeping your tortillas warm and dry while your meat stays nice and juicy! It’s most popular in Texas, where it falls under the large umbrella of food called Tex-Mex.

As a Texan myself, I take pride in all of the deliciously fresh yet savoy foods that fall under this traditional fusion cuisine, and fajitas are definitely part of that boat! The chicken in the recipe is cooked with the onions and bell peppers, allowing all of the flavors to evenly meld into one another while still being distinct enough to pick them apart when you’re taking a bite.

If you really want to go full-on Tex-Mex, try adding some sour cream, refried beans, lettuce, and pico de gallo for the ultimate fajita. Still craving a little more? Why not try adding some guacamole on the side for an added creaminess and bright flavor!
