Ingredients
- 8 oz. chow mein noodles
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 red bell pepper sliced
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
Instructions
-
Cook the chow mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
-
Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over high heat. Add the sliced chicken and stir-fry until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
-
Add the sliced onion, minced garlic, red bell pepper, and sliced mushrooms to the same pan. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until the vegetables are slightly softened.
-
Add the shredded cabbage to the pan and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes until wilted.
-
Mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and sesame oil in a small bowl.
-
Add the cooked chow mein noodles and the sauce to the pan with the vegetables. Stir-fry everything together for 2-3 minutes until the noodles are coated in the sauce and heated through.
-
Return the cooked chicken to the pan and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes until everything is well combined.
-
Serve the chow mein hot, garnished with chopped green onions.
