Lemon And Blueberries Go Together Perfectly In This Dessert

We all love blueberries and lemons. Although they are two very different plants, they come together to create amazing flavors!

Blueberries are found all over the world, but the fruit that we commonly eat originated from North America, and are still primarily grown there to be exported all over the world. They are a cousin to a poisonous plant – the deadly nightshade.

Despite their dangerous family members, the blueberries we all love and know so well are perfectly safe and a delicious treat for any time! Whether fresh, in jams, frozen, or juiced, blueberries are amazing for all and any occasions.

Lemons are a sour fruit that is delicious in both savory and sweet foods, depending on how they are treated and prepared with other ingredients. Unlike the blueberry, they are not exclusive to any region and are prepared in foods all across the world.

The first area they were found in is South Asia, but they are used in so many varieties of cooking that they could be considered native to all sorts of countries! Lemons are perfect as a touch of brightness in any food, regardless if it’s sweet or savory.

In this recipe, lemons are used to keep the blueberries from being too sweet and overbearing on your palate to balance it all out!
