Love Shrimp Boil, But Not The Mess? Try This Stir Fry Recipe

Shrimp and Sausage Stirfry

Basically a shrimp boil over rice. What's not to like?

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 lb shrimp
  • 2 tspn Chesapeake Bay seasoning
  • 6 oz sausage
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 onion chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper chopped
  • 1 zucchini sliced
  • 1/2 cup cut corn
  • 1 carrot chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves chopped
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tspn salt
  • 1/4 tspn pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tbsp cooking oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and season with the Chesapeake Bay seasoning. Cook through and set aside.

  2. Heat another tbsp cooking oil in a skillet over medium high heat. Add the sausage(s) and cook until  caramelized. Add the water, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Remove the sausages from the skillet and slice.

  3. Add the onion and bell peppers and saute in the juices left over when cooking the sausage(s) until the onions are almost tender. Add the sausage(s) back in along with the zucchini. Stir.

  4. Add the cut corn, carrot, cooked shrimp, garlic, chicken broth, salt, and pepper. Cook and stir for a few more minutes or until the chicken broth starts simmering.

  5. Serve over steamed rice.
