No Need to Seek Out Gastro-Pubs, You Can Make These Popular Nachos At Home

Korean-Style Pork Belly Nachos

This pub-style treat goes great with a beer and a movie!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Pork Belly Sliced
  • 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • 2 tbsp Red Pepper Powder
  • 1 tbsp Honey
  • 1/3 cup Kimchee Juice
  • Tortilla Chips
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • 1 cup Chopped Kimchee
  • 1 cup Chopped Red Onions
  • 1/3 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Kimchee Juice

Instructions

  1. Cut pork belly slices into 1 inch strips.

  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the pork, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, red pepper powder, honey, and kimchee juice and mix well.

  3. Cook the pork in a skillet over medium high heat.

  4. Place a layer of tortilla chips on an oven-safe pan or skillet, top with 1/3 cup cheddar, 1/3 cup monterey jack, 1/3 cup chopped kimchee, 1/3 of the cooked pork, and 1/3 red onions. Repeat this two more times on top of each other to create 3 layers of nachos. Place under broiler until cheese is melted.

  5. Create the sauce by combining the two sauce ingredients and mixing well.

  6. Serve nachos topped with the sauce.
