Tender Browned Butter Shortbread Cookies

Brown Butter Shortbread Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat until becomes slightly golden. Chill until firm.
  2. Now, beat the browned butter until fluffy.
  3. Add in powdered sugar and continue to beat until well-incorporated.
  4. Mix in flour and salt until a dough forms.
  5. Press into a square shape and roll into a rectangle. Place on a baking sheet.
  6. Lightly prick the dough with a fork and bake for 55 minutes.
  7. Cut into rectangles.
  8. Serve and enjoy! 😀
