A refreshing pitcher of bourbon spiked lemonade.
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 2/3 cup bourbon
- 6 cups ginger ale
- lemon slices for garnish
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat. Heat the water until the sugar is fully dissolved and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Pour in the lemon juice and bourbon and add the mint leaves. Let cool.
Strain lemonade into a pitcher. Add the ginger ale and stir. Add ice and garnish with lemon slices. Serve cold.
