Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 14 oz. can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, sugar, cocoa powder, salt, baking powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  4. Fold in the flour and chocolate chips until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, unsalted butter, and corn syrup in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  7. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
  8. Drizzle the caramel sauce over the brownie batter, using a spatula or knife to swirl it into the batter.
  9. Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  10. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
