Black Forest Smoothie

Try this healthy smoothie for a chocolaty start to your day.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 1/2 cups loosely packed fresh spinach
  • 1 1/2 cups vanilla almond milk
  • 1 ripe avocado peeled and pitted
  • 1 tbsp unsweetened cocoa
  • bittersweet chocolate shavings optional

Instructions

  1. Process cherries, spinach, almond milk, avocado, and cocoa in a blender until it becomes a smooth mixture. Pour it out evenly into 2 glasses. If desired (and it should be), garnish each with chocolate shavings.
