The Basic Burger

A simple, home-made basic hamburger with cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tspn pepper
  • 1 tspn kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard
  • 1.5 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • hamburger buns to serve
  • lettuce to serve
  • tomato sliced, to serve
  • cheese sliced, to serve
  • onions sliced, to serve

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, pepper, salt, dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce.

  2. Form 8 even burger patties with the meat mixture. 

  3. Heat your grill or skillet on high.

  4. Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side depending on its thickness and how well you like your burgers cooked.

  5. Serve the burger on lightly grilled or toasted buns with lettuce, tomato, cheese and onions.
