Croque Madame

Eggs, ham and toast. Just needs some coffee, and it's a perfect breakfast.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 2 thick slices white bread
  • 2 slices ham
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter on medium heat. Once it's melted, mix the cheese in, then coat each slice of bread in the mix. 

  2. Heat up a skillet over medium heat. Place one prepped slice of bread into the skillet and 2 slices of ham on top. Place the other prepped bread slice on top and fry the sandwich until both sides are golden. Take the sandwich out of the skillet and put it aside.

  3. While the skillet's still hot, fry up the egg however you prefer, then place it on top of the sandwich.
