A little sour cream will give your cornbread some punch.
Turn the oven up to 375 F. While that's heating up, grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
In a big bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, and baking soda together. Add in the sour cream, butter, and eggs and stir it all together until fully incorporated. Pour your newborn batter into the prepped baking dish.
Bake the dish in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes. If you can stick a toothpick in there and pull it out clean, you're all set.
