If you love onion rings at a restaurant or bar, try making these at home! These crispy bits are great for the whole family!
Slice onions into thin rings and separate.
Pour buttermilk on top of the onions and place in fridge for 2 hours minimum.
Take the flour, cornmeal, salt, and red pepper flakes and mix in a bowl.
Heat oil in a pot to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
Coat the onion rings with flour mix.
Fry the rings for 2 minutes, flipping them once.
Use skimmer to remove onion rings when done cooking and place them on top of paper towels on a plate to cool
Wait to cool, then serve and enjoy!
