Total Time 8 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 shots of espresso or 1/2 cup of strongly brewed coffee
  • 1 cup of milk any type you prefer: whole, skim, almond, etc.
  • 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar adjust according to your taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream optional
  • Chocolate syrup optional

Instructions

  1. Brew the Coffee: If you're using espresso, prepare two shots. Otherwise, brew half a cup of strong coffee. Let it cool down to room temperature.
  2. Mix Cocoa and Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together the cocoa powder and sugar until well combined. This ensures that the cocoa powder dissolves evenly when mixed with the coffee.
  3. Prepare the Mocha Base: In a glass or a shaker, combine the brewed coffee with the cocoa-sugar mixture. Stir or shake vigorously until the cocoa and sugar are completely dissolved in the coffee.
  4. Add Milk: Pour the milk into the glass or shaker containing the mocha base. Stir or shake again to combine everything evenly.
  5. Add Ice: Fill a separate glass with ice cubes. Pour the mocha mixture over the ice.
  6. Optional Garnishes: If desired, top your iced cold mocha with whipped cream and drizzle chocolate syrup on top for an extra indulgent treat.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Insert a straw or a long spoon into the glass and give your homemade iced cold mocha a final stir. Then, sit back, relax, and savor the deliciousness of your homemade treat!
