Combine 1 cup flour, 1 tbsp salt, 1 tbsp pepper and mix well. Dredge the chicken in the flour mixture.
Heat olive oil in skillet over medium-high heat and cook chicken until browned on both sides. Take off heat and cut in half.
Cook bacon in the skillet with the left over chicken grease. Add 1/2 cup flour and mix well to create a rue. Pour in the beer and stir to make bacon and gravy.
Place the chicken in a slow cooker. Then pour the bacon gravy over the chicken.
Add carrots, mushrooms, onion, thyme, garlic, and chicken broth and cook on high for 4 hours or 7-8 hours on low.
Add the peas and continue cooking for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
