A delicious and refreshing mint sorbet topped with bourbon.
Combine the sugar and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. When sugar is completely dissolved, remove from heat. Add mint leaves, lemon zest, and lime zest and gently muddle. Let stand for 10 minutes.
Strain mint mixture into a bowl and cool completely.
Pour the cooled liquid into an ice-cream maker and process according to the directions.
Scoop about 3/4 cup of mint sorbet into a rocks glass and top with 1/4 cup bourbon. Garnish with mint sprigs.
