When it's cold out, nothing warms the body like some Irish whiskey.
Press the cloves into the lemon's peel, then set it aside. Measure the sugar into a wine glass, then place a metal spoon into it, curved side up. Pour the boiling water over the back of the spoon to keep the glass from shattering, then stir it so the sugar dissolves. Pour in the whiskey and add the prepped lemon slice. Let everything steep for about a minute before serving.
