-
Preheat your oven to 180°C. Lightly grease a baking dish and set it aside.
-
Cook the ziti pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until just tender. Drain well and set aside.
-
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook until soft and lightly golden. Stir in the garlic and cook for about one minute until fragrant.
-
Add the tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper to the pan. Stir well and let the sauce simmer gently for 5 to 7 minutes so the flavors come together.
-
In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta with the sauce. Mix until the pasta is evenly coated.
-
Transfer half of the pasta mixture into the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle half of the feta and half of the mozzarella over the top. Add the remaining pasta, then finish with the rest of the feta and mozzarella.
-
Bake uncovered for about 25 to 30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and lightly golden on top.
-
Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired, then serve warm.
