Caramalized Banana Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil or butter
  • 1 cup almond milk or any milk you prefer
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional for extra sweetness
  • A pinch of cinnamon optional
  • Ice cubes optional, if you want a colder smoothie

Instructions

Caramelize the Bananas

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Slice your bananas into thick rounds. Heat coconut oil or butter in a pan over medium heat, then add the banana slices. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. If you prefer, you can also bake the banana slices on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until caramelized.

Blend the Smoothie

  1. Once the bananas are done, let them cool a bit. Then, toss them into a blender with almond milk, vanilla extract, honey (or maple syrup), and cinnamon. Blend until smooth and creamy. For a colder, thicker smoothie, add some ice cubes and blend again.

Adjust to Your Taste

  1. Taste your smoothie! If you want it sweeter, add more honey or syrup. You can also add more almond milk if you prefer a thinner consistency.

Serve & Enjoy

  1. Pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy right away! For extra fun, sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top or add a few banana slices as a garnish.
