Homemade Cosmopolitan

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce cranberry juice
  • ½ ounce triple sec like Cointreau
  • ½ ounce fresh lime juice
  • Ice
  • Lime wheel or orange peel for garnish

Instructions

Chill your glass

  1. Place a martini or coupe glass in the freezer while you mix the drink. It makes a big difference.

Mix the cocktail

  1. In a shaker, combine the vodka, cranberry juice, triple sec, and lime juice.

Add ice and shake

  1. Fill the shaker with ice and shake firmly for about 15 seconds until it feels cold.

Strain and serve

  1. Strain into your chilled glass.

Garnish

  1. Add a lime wheel or a twist of orange peel on top for a clean finish.
