Vegan Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon distilled white vinegar
  • 1 cup water

Instructions

  1. Turn the oven up to 350 F. While that's heating up, lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.

  2. In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Add in the oil, vanilla, vinegar and water, and mix it all together until it's a smooth batter.

  3. Pour the batter into the prepped pan and bake for 45 minutes. Take the pan out of the oven and let it cool before serving.
