Ingredients

  • 1 pound 450g shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 ounces 225g fettuccine pasta
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups 480ml chicken broth
  • 1 cup 240ml heavy cream
  • 1 cup 100g grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Red pepper flakes optional, for added heat

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Begin by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
  2. Sauté the Shrimp: In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Add the shrimp to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
  3. Make the Alfredo Sauce: Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the same pan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for about 5 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly.
  4. Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce, allowing it to melt and incorporate fully. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  5. Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked shrimp and drained fettuccine pasta back to the pan with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are evenly coated with the sauce.
  6. Serve: Garnish the One Pan Shrimp Alfredo with chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
