Ingredients
- 1 pound 450g shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 8 ounces 225g fettuccine pasta
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 cups 480ml chicken broth
- 1 cup 240ml heavy cream
- 1 cup 100g grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
- Red pepper flakes optional, for added heat
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta: Begin by cooking the fettuccine pasta according to the package instructions until it's al dente. Drain the pasta and set it aside.
-
Sauté the Shrimp: In the same pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic. Add the shrimp to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes on each side until they turn pink and opaque. Remove the shrimp from the pan and set aside.
-
Make the Alfredo Sauce: Pour the chicken broth and heavy cream into the same pan. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat. Let it cook for about 5 minutes until it starts to thicken slightly.
-
Add Parmesan Cheese: Gradually stir in the grated Parmesan cheese into the sauce, allowing it to melt and incorporate fully. Continue stirring until the sauce is smooth and creamy.
-
Combine Ingredients: Return the cooked shrimp and drained fettuccine pasta back to the pan with the Alfredo sauce. Toss everything together until the pasta and shrimp are evenly coated with the sauce.
-
Serve: Garnish the One Pan Shrimp Alfredo with chopped fresh parsley and red pepper flakes if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!
