Dessert Style Lasagna

Dessert Style Lasagna

We all know and love lasagna as one of the best foods in the world. Savory sheets of pasta stacked between delicious and rich layers of savory meat sauce and salty but oh-so-creamy cheese, it’s easy to see why this dish has gathered so much popularity throughout the world.

Lasagna works as a substitute for all meals except dessert, which requires sweetness that lasagna just can’t provide. However, we’ve found a solution that will let you take your lasagna from best meal to best dessert!

This recipe takes the classic combination of peaches and cream and turns it into dessert nirvana by layering the two between the graham cracker “pasta”. While it may seem appealing to use fresh chopped peaches, this is one of the few occasions that canned is better than fresh.

The canned peaches are already softened and easy to cut into, making it a better choice to use in this recipe. Not a fan of peaches? No worries, most canned fruits will do the job – pears are a personal favorite of mine, as they hold up well against all of the layers in the same way peaches do, and they also go great with the dash of cinnamon used in this recipe!
