Delicious, easy popcorn without all the extra additives.
- ½ cup unpopped popcorn
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon salt or to taste
Mix the unpopped popcorn and oil together in a small bowl or cup. Pour the coated kernels into a brown paper lunch sack, and sprinkle the salt over them. Fold the top of the bag twice to get a nice, firm seal.
Cook the bag in the microwave at full power for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Listen carefully to the popping sounds; when there's about a 2 second pause between pops, take it out of there. Don't leave it too long, or it'll burn! Carefully open the bag so you don't get a face-full of steam, and pour into a serving bowl.
