Ingredients

  • 4 12 ounce cans beer
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 10 bratwurst
  • 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Turn your grill up to medium-high heat. When it's ready to go, give the grate a light oiling.

  2. In a big pot, combine the beer and onions, then get it boiling. Submerge the bratwurst in the beer, then add the red pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Turn the heat down to medium and let it cook for another 10 to 12 minutes. Take the bratwurst out of the beer mix and turn the heat down to low while continuing to cook the onions.

  3. Grill the bratwurst for 5 to 10 minutes, making sure to turn over once. Serve the brats with the beer mixture as a topping or side. You can also put them on buns, if you like.
